Hard and Clear

By way of MG Siegler,

Write hard and clear about what hurts.

Hemingway, who else.

Wait, what? Who else? Anyone else could’ve said that!

Yes. But: Few would’ve done it, and very few actually did.

Write hard and clear about what makes you happy.

Easier, right? Not really. It’s not just about writing about what hurts, or what makes you happy, it’s about this:

Write hard and clear.

One begets the other, in a way, so:

Write clear.
