Privacy Policy

The European Commission recommends:

Use plain language. Tell them who you are when you request the data. Say why you are processing their data, how long it will be stored and who receives it.

This privacy policy was written with this recommendation in mind: As simple and transparent as possible. If you have any questions, plese write to hi@maulco.com.

Controller in charge for data processing on these websites within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Mathias Maul, Alsterdorfer Straße 107, 22299 Hamburg, Germany, E-Mail hi@maulco.com, Telefon +49404143150421.

The websites collect and process data only isasfar as this is necessary for their operation in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of the website. When visiting a website, your browser or computer transmits its IP address to the web server of the selected website so that it can deliver the texts, images, layout information, etc. that you requested. In this process, the following data can be collected:

  • the web page(s) visited
  • date and time of access
  • the link (“referer”) that led you to the website (unless you set your browser so that it does not transmit this information)
  • the browser used, including its version and the operating system it is running with (unless you set your browser to pretend that it is something other than what it is)
  • the amount of transmitted data
  • your preferred language (eg DE for German or EN-GB for British English)

None of these information is stored or evaluated for longer than the duration of your visit, even for statistical purposes. Only in the case of hacker attacks we reserve the right to temporarily store this data in log files, but only for the purpose of warding off attacks.

This website does not use web analytics services. It does not offer an e-mail newsletter. We do not create usage profiles or user profiles and we do not use personal data to make automated decisions.

Disclosure of your personal data will only take place if you have given your express consent, or if the disclosure is required to conclude a contract with you, or to fulfill another legal obligation with you.

The website uses encryption technologies (SSL/TLS) to increase security. This can be recognized by the “https” (“s”=“secure”) part of the web address and, in some browsers, by a lock symbol. The website is hosted with the web hosting service Netlify.

If you contact us, we will use the information you submit solely to process your request in accordance with Article 6(1) (b) or (c) or (f). The data will be deleted after processing has been completed, unless statutory retention periods take precedence.

Cookies are small information packages that a website (or the server) sends to your browser which then stores them for a certain period of time unless you set your browser so that it restricts or denies this service. This website uses cookies as “short-term memory” so that it can remember in which language (English/German/Japanese) you would like it to be displayed and to ensure that web fonts (see below) are properly licensed.

External content is used on a website if it can not be provided otherwise for technical or licensing reasons. This content comprises, for example, web fonts and script libraries, which enable a uniform representation of the websites. Web fonts are small files with fonts that your browser downloads from a font provider. Your browser or computer sends this provider your IP address so that the provider’s server knows where to deliver the fonts. Your browser will use the downloaded fonts for the duration of your visit to the site. This website uses web fonts sourced from Hoefler & Co. and Adobe Typekit. Fonts sourced from Hoefler & Co. are saved on this website’s servers; Adobe’s fonts are downloaded from Adobe’s servers when needed. If you set your browser to block web fonts or if it does not provide web font functionality, the sites will be displayed with fonts installed on your computer.
